Facts about Pashupatinath temple

Pashupatinath Temple: What is the specialty of this Linga?

Nepal is a country that is tremendously unique in its spirituality from its creation to the present.

The fantasy of creating a country is unique all over the world by devoting spirituality and human consciousness by not just paying attention to material comforts.  The countries doing so are probably Tibet and Nepal.

Nepal may be a small country, but it is very important from a spiritual point of view.  However, due to instability, this country could not handle its spiritual treasury and now it is getting layer of modernity:

Nepal is the land of spirituality and at one time this place was completely connected to the spiritual aspects of life.  Unfortunately, this country had to witness a period of great political upheaval and collapse.  For this reason, they could not save this great work done in their home which was done in several hundred years, properly.  What we are seeing today are the remnants of what is left.  But whatever is left is extraordinary.

Pashupatinath: The most prominent temple of tantric science

The Pashupatinath temple in Nepal is considered by some to be the most prominent of all the temples.  'Pashupati' means - animal means 'life' and 'husband' means lord or owner, i.e. 'owner of life' or 'god of life'.  Pashupatinath is actually a four-faced Linga.  The east facing face is called Tattpurush and the west facing face is called Sadjyot.  The face facing towards the north is Vamveda, the face facing south is called Aghora.

Nepal is the land of spirituality and at one time this place was completely connected to the spiritual aspects of life.

These four faces are the four basic principles of tantra-learning.  Some people also believe that the basic principles of the four Vedas also originated from here.  This linga is believed to have been established even before the Vedas were written and many mythological stories are associated with it.  One of these stories is like this - Pandavas were very sad to kill their own brothers after the battle of Kurukshetra.  He killed his brothers and relatives.  This is called gotra slaughter.  He regretted his actions and felt guilty.  He set out in search of Shiva to free himself from this defect.

Indicative description of Pashupatinath, Kedarnath, Tungnath, Madhya-Maheshwar

But Shiva did not want him to be freed so easily from the heinous scandal he committed.  Therefore, seeing the Pandavas near him, he took the form of a bull and started trying to escape from there.  But the Pandavas came to know of his secret and tried to catch them by chasing them.  During this bhaga ran, Shiva disappeared into the ground and when he resurfaced, his body was shattered at different places.

Using the entire geographical location of Nepal, he created a tantric body, so that all the people living there and every living being lived with a big purpose.

His forehead fell in Pashupatinath, Nepal and then this temple is considered to be the most special of all the temples.  The hump of the bull had fallen in Kedarnath.  Two legs in front of the bull fell at Tungnath.  This place falls in the path of Kedar.  The bull's navel portion fell in the Indian territory of the Himalayas.  This place is called Madhya-Maheshwar.  It is a very powerful Manipurka Linga.  The place where the bull's horns fell is called Kalpnath.  In this way, different pieces of their bodies were found in different places.

Pashupatinath: is like the head of two bodies

The description of such scattering of pieces of his body is associated with seven chakras somewhere.  These temples were built like human bodies.  This was a great experiment - it tried to create a large body of man full of tantric possibilities.  Pashupatinath is the head of two bodies.  One body is towards the Indian side of the Himalayas in the southern direction, the other is towards the western side, where an attempt was made to give a body structure to the whole of Nepal itself.  Nepal was formed in five cycles.

Tantra: What is its real meaning?

In this way, he created a tantric body using the entire geographical location of Nepal, so that all the people living there and every living being lived with a big goal.  When I speak of Tantra, I do not mean freehand sex.  I do not mean rituals, methods of worship or other things.  Actually, I mean the science of creating and erasing life.  Some of you may have seen some tantric pictures, where tantra-mantras cut off their heads and carry it in their hands.  These pictures try to tell you that the practitioner of tantra-mantra actually learns to give life and destroy it.  He can give one form of life another form.

 Why is sacrifice in Nepal?

This is the reason why so much sacrifice has been done on this land.  If you come here on some special occasions in the year, it is because of this sacrifice that you will see the streets of Kathmandu colored in red.  If you associate it with the rights of animals, then you may not like it.  But I want to tell you that even sacrificing them will not deter you.  Actually, their purpose is completely different.  They don't think of life the way you do.  Even today, the thinking of this civilization is completely liberating.

Bhaktapur: Feeling of divinity at every step

There is a place you must visit here and that is Bhaktapur.  From the remains here, you will get to know what the Eastern culture once was.  Bhaktapur is a city that was designed in such a way that one who comes here has a feeling of divine power at every step.  Bhaktapur also means the same.  That is why every stop here is actually a temple.  There is also a temple for drinking water, there is a temple for cleanliness and even there is a temple for talking.

Pashupatinath is the head of two bodies.  One body is towards the Indian side of the Himalayas in the southern direction, the other is towards the western side, where the whole of Nepal was tried to give a body structure.

That is, when we go to Bhaktapur, then we are in 1100 years old time.  And think, what would the time be like - when women were only dressed in red and men wore white.  The brick buildings where people used to live are still standing today.  Many people here still live in the same houses where their ancestors lived 1100 years ago.

Though Bhaktapur is now on the verge of being destroyed in many ways, but even today, you will realize how tremendous beauty was in thousands of years ago.  Those people had worked so hard to give beauty to anything.  But today, seeing modern buildings of concrete, haphazard sign boards, plastic bottles and a pile of other things made of plastic, and seeing the noises and smoke-blowing vehicles passing through the narrow streets of Bhaktapur, it seems that we are corrupt from the pure and holy.  And going towards the unholy.

The fantasy of creating a country is unique all over the world by devoting spirituality and human consciousness by not just paying attention to material comforts.  The countries doing so are probably Tibet and Nepal.

Though Bhaktapur is now on the verge of being destroyed in many ways, but even today, you will realize how tremendous beauty was in thousands of years ago.

By the way, both countries acquired all the technology from India and established their nation on this purpose.  Unfortunately, by the 20th century, the importance of things in people's lives changed dramatically.  This is why the old work on a large scale collapsed and disappeared.  But there is a lot in these places that cannot be erased.  People can demolish monasteries and temples, but there are some dimensions of old work that can never be erased.
